About Us

Our company started in 1995 as a side line to the family precision engineering company based in Shrivenham near Swindon.

After repairing a few pallet trucks and scissor lifts for a company nearby we realised that we could offer our mechanical expertise to service and repair manual handling equipment to the local industry in and around Swindon.

We jump forward a few years and with the slow demise of our machine shop work, we looked to concentrate on servicing and maintenance of specialist handling equipment. One product was being heavily introduced into the workplace by the facilities managers, this being the Palbac our senior engineer had first hand experience with this product and identified the need for regular maintenance for standard health and safety and to comply with LOLER and PUWER regulations.

Material handling equipment became our single source of business and by 2010 we had firmly established ourselves as the main supplier for Variable Geometry lifting equipment. We continue to grow and work closely with a business partner in London.

Action 8 will continue to develop associations with manufacturers across the globe and is always keen to promote products that provide the highest build quality and a unique approach to material handling.
